Maurice A. Gaubatz, President and CEO
Maurice is President, Chief Executive Officer, and principal investor in the corporation. He is responsible for business development and customer relations, oversight of operations, and human resources. Maurice has more than 18 years experience in the chemical industry, including large-scale manufacturing, technology development, environmental compliance, managerial, and business intelligence roles at Dow Chemical. His educational foundation includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University and a M.B.A., University of Houston, Clear Lake, TX. Professional Affiliations include American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Chemical Society, and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.

David A. Robaugh, Ph.D., Vice President
Dr. Robaugh joined Pyxant Labs Inc in August 2002 as Vice President. He has more than 17 years experience leading GLP studies, and more than 25 years experience in the development and application of state-of-the-art analytical techniques including LC/MS, MS-MS techniques, GC/MS, MALDI-TOF, and FAB. Moreover, Dr. Robaugh has extensive experience leading original research projects over a wide range of topics, including picogram-level bioanalytical method development, ADME, PK/PD, metabolism, toxicology bioanalytical support, and a wide range of sample preparation experience. His specialties include: pre-clinical drug development, HPLC/MS, MS-MS, trace-level bioassays, bioanalytical method development and validation (urine, plasma, serum, and various tissues), method troubleshooting, mass spectrometry, project management, experimental design, GLP, cGMP, and OECD regulated studies. Former positions included Midwest Research Institute, Kansas City. Dr. Robaugh’s education highlights are a B.S. in Chemistry, California State University of Pennsylvania and Ph.D., Physical Chemistry, West Virginia University. Dr. Robaugh’s professional affiliations include being a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the Rocky Mountain Regional Chapter Society of Quality Assurance.

Audrey Knobloch , Manager, Quality Assurance
Audrey is responsible for all quality systems and final report release. The duties include ensuring each study is performed in compliance with GLP and applicable GMP regulations. The QA Director also ensures the company maintains compliance with quality systems practices and procedures. The QA Director has responsibility for monitoring new regulatory guidelines and industry trends and applying current guidelines to company practices and procedures.

Shane Karnik, Group Leader
Shane is responsible for the conduct of studies and for project development. Shane leads a team of Technicians and Chemists and is also responsible for instrumental analysis, calculations and data management, and analytical methods research and development. Shane holds a M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Colorado. Professional affiliations include being a member of the Rocky Mountain Regional Chapter Society of Quality Assurance.
