ANALYTICAL METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION
Experience encompasses more than 400 different compounds in
more than 100 different matrices. Sound experience and established
work processes for independent method development or for method
optimization to improve performance cost effectively for specific
unique applications.
MARKET BASKET and TASK FORCES
Analyzed more than 1,500 residue samples over a one year period
for the Carbamate Market Basket Task Force; collaborative
(approximately 50/50) with another contract analytical laboratory.
MAGNITUDE OF THE RESIDUE
Extensive experience supporting OPPTS guideline magnitude
of the residue studies. Numerous studies on a wide range of
compounds. Including sample compositing, freezer storage,
storage stability, analytical method development and tuning,
reporting, and QA. Studies ranging from a dozen samples to
more than 500 samples in a single study.
MULTIRESIDUE ASSESSMENTS (PAM, S19, MRM-1)
Performed 45 separate PAM multiresidue assessments on more
than 110 different compounds, analyzing up to 39 different
compounds in a single PAM study. These studies span all editions
of PAM, including the third (current) edition. Also, extensive
experience performing S19 assessments and validations.
SOIL AND WATER DISSIPATION
Extensive experience, including method development and tuning
and handling in excess of 1,000 samples in a single study.
WORKER and OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE
Provided analytical chemistry support of an OPPTS worker exposure
study for an herbicide applied with ground equipment. The
study investigated the subject compound plus metabolites.
We developed the analytical methods for the test substance
and one metabolite. We analyzed the residue samples, which
consisted of urine, detergent wash water, dosimeter pads,
and inhalation monitoring cartridges. We performed 1,636 individual
determinations of compounds and metabolites during the conduct
of this study.
PRODUCT CHEMISTRY
Full offering of assays to OPPTS and EU guidelines. Performed
an OPPTS product chemistry study that included storage stability
at 5 intervals during a 24 month period, quantification and
characterization of impurities, standard addition recoveries,
and determination of physical properties. We developed chromatographic
methods for each impurity to levels of 0.1% of the formulation
levels. Numerous, certifications of formulations for subsequent
GLP studies.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Provide analytical determinations of the amount of growth
regulator resulting from application of the compound to vegetables.
This analytical support provides insights to the growers,
processors, and applicators as to the effectiveness and safety
of the treatment plan. Typically, we provide results on these
samples within two days of receipt.
STEWARDSHIP and FORENSICS
Provide analytical determinations of pesticide and metabolites
in urine and other biological substrates. This support confirms
alleged exposures to pesticide compounds. We provide fast
turnaround and GLP-quality technical performance.
REPORTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Our in-house QA department assures the integrity of all the
data we generate and of all the reports we publish. We perform
100% QA on all data we generate. We often write protocols
on behalf of sponsors, provide study direction for laboratory
projects, and write progress reports and final reports. We
provide reports in a wide range of paper formats as well as
electronic submission formats including MS Word (.DOC) and
Adobe Acrobat (.PDF).
